I found out that one of the reasons I procrastinate is that stress, or the adrenalin released, helps to focus the brain. When there’s plenty of time, the brain sets off wandering aimlessly.
What I need is to find a way of keeping my mind engaged in the task at hand, without sweaty palms and a racing heartbeat.

It’s been hard to even sit down and read a book when useless, useless thoughts exist simply to intrude. I do realize that these thoughts belong to only or two categories: worry or insecurity mostly. Worry about tomorrow, in particular.
I could figure out a way to do focus on TODAY that would help. I think the most obvious is to get back to yoga and maybe add meditation.
EDIT: i see that i’m not the only one who wants to do this!

having the schedule helps. it tells me that there is a time coming up very soon when i can check email or goof off, but i will get there only if i focus on what i am doing.
