I changed my own oil on April 14th! In ten days’ time, I put 600 miles on Otto because of the commute. I wonder if I did that before anyway, driving around town. Should I change my oil every 3000 miles still, or can I let it wait until say 4500 miles because of all the highway driving?

Got a flat tire two Wednesdays ago and had to hit Walmart on short notice to get it replaced. The front is still not aligned, but I have two BRAND NEW TIRES. It cost me $110. Con artists.

Still need to change the fuel filter and the spark plugs with Jeffery’s help.

I think I want to buy a hybrid or convert a car into a biodiesel burner.

mein Otto 3 years ago

Otto is the name of my 1990 Pontiac 6000 LE station wagon. He used to be gray but now has smatterings of pink spray paint and stenciled pink stars on his hood, to be completed sometime soon, god willing. This simple pimping aside, my cross-country automotive companion is shitting out on me.

The list:
-rusted fuel line
-fallen right strut
-busted side mirror
-obnoxiously loud exhaust
-headlight issue
-fallen headliner fabric
-a/c to be recharged
-the smell, of course (caused by driving into a flood puddle I thought I could outsmart)
-general backseat clutter

I love mein Otto and I want to see him well again! When he finally dies, he will be twenty at 200,000 miles and very esteemed-looking! Wish me luck?
