learn norwegian

I am living back in Norway now so I am going to Norwegian classes. It’s provided by the government and is free. I go twice a week for 5 hours a week. My reading is getting quite good but I am still not very good at speaking to people.

I have almost finished reading my Norwegian textbook. It’s taken longer as I get closer to the end because there is more stuff I don’t know. So I have had to translate more often. But once I get to the end I am going to go back and relearn the grammar sections. It’s a bit difficult because the textbook is all in Norwegian. I need to know what some of the grammar words mean in English. I found this site www.lexin.no. It’s a really good online dictionery.

I read more than a 100 pages of my Norwegian textbook yesterday. I am going to try and finish it today. I am also going to try to speak more Norwegian to my mother-in-law. At the moment she is speaking Norwegian to me and I am answering in English. I have also been watching more Norwegian TV to improve my understanding.

I am living in Norway so I need to know Norwegian. I’ve had about 2 months of lessons but I still can’t understand everything. I know basic stuff but I need to get motivated and do more study.
