Down to 190 now. 41 down on this goal, 19 to go.
The more I lose, and the older I get, the less I have faith in diet plans or trick solutions.
Eat less, move more. Make better choices about what you fuel your body with and spend that fuel! Keep the field of your body well irrigated.
That works.

Being overweight is unfair. Dealing with getting thinner is unfair. When I was 396# the plan was lose the weight, get the girl, be happy. It didn’t work out that way. Instead it went – lose some weight, get the girl, get happy, lose more weight…. sloooooooowly.
When I was 396# I had horrible body image. I still do. I also looked horrid naked. Here comes the unfairness – I still look less than perfect naked!!! And, I can tell it’s not going to get any better by itself. Things stretch when you push your frame to near the 400 pound mark, and skin just isn’t made of elastic.
Allow me to tell you a story -
The other night I was sitting on my couch at home with my lovely wife after a good long day of work and aikido. I mumbled something about unfairness and said something like, “It’s just not fair, I am losing weight but my skin is all hangy… I’m a friggin’ basset hound!”
Chuckle “Well, at least you don’t flap.”, was the response from the beautiful creature in repose on the other couch.
“Yes, I do.”, twas my retort.
“No, you don’t”, was the reply delivered with a smile.
“Yes, I do.”, I answered back.
“No, you don’t.”, she said again.
“Yes. I do.”, was my reply again.
“No, you don’t.”
At this point I sighed, took up my glasses, stood up and stripped naked. I then walked to the center of the room, and after a dramatic pause shook and twisted enthusiastically. The flapping echoed from the walls.
The love of my life burst into such a convulsion of laughter that she nearly fell off the couch. Smiling down, triumphant in having proved my point, I waited for her to recover her composure.
Tears forming in her eyes she smiled up and me, “Do it again!!!”
If that’s not love, I don’t know what is!!
