keep my virginity until I'm married

I’m thankful for those who have cheered this goal, and those that have commented… it’s all very helpful c: it seems the more and more I try to keep to this goal, the more and more resolved I become. I’ve so far heard many people say that it was well worth it to save their virginities for marriage, but I have YET to hear someone say ‘Wow, I wish I would’ve lost it before marrying my spouse…’! That’s a good thing to think about. So far, it seems worth it. Right now, I’m looking around to buy a purity ring, and I think my boyfriend wants to buy one with me. It’s nice to have some friends who also seem to value this (they have purity rings too!)

However, my 2 best friends have NOT kept their virginities, and they both keep talking about ‘doing it’ with their boyfriends on prom night… I don’t know why they think having sex on prom night will be so special. Hearing them talk about sex a lot doesn’t exactly help me <.<

I wonder if others realize how hard this can really be sometimes…! There are quite a few times that I’ve cursed myself for wanting to abstain, for having this mental barrier that insists I should wait for… something. I still believe I should, but there have been times when I just want to let go and not care about it! I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to wait until I’m married, but I at least wait until I’m 18… and the right person. Somehow, I feel I will just know who is right.
