perhaps it’s all in the staging. i can handle a little drama, just not more of the same.
perhaps life is a repeat of the primary grades because that’s all we can see when we are stuck in the puddle. i remember 5th grade as being a pretty narrowly focused period in life, wanting to grow up, still clinging to the security blankets of the past.
maybe it’s time to move on.
bye bye drama.
hello sunshine.

Two best friends were walking through the desert. During the journey, they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other. Without saying anything, the one who got slapped wrote in the sand, “Today my best friend slapped me in the face.”
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but his friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone, “Today my best friend saved me.”
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked, “After I slapped you, you wrote in the sand but now you write on a stone. Why?”
The other friend replied, “When someone hurts us we should write it in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”
