Clean my office

...while transfering from old to new pc.
and now i can use usb stick, too!
i see there are many possible uses for Picassa, i also archive my documents there; easy to find and manage. and my musical scores.

i need similar organiser for my pdf’s, too!! ;-)

next step will be to archive all ugly photos on CD and leave only oplifting ones on my pc!!! can’t wait

i noticed for a long while i dared to look to the screen only! :-)
terrible mess has taken over my workplace. my drowers are unmentionable.
i started with visible paper that was covering all flat surfaces. much better.

well, almost done.

and i forgot to mention big step forward couple of weeks ago: my office room mate has changed, with old one all visible chaos is gone, including mine.
what a relief!
and i shifted (upgraded) to desk closer to window – nice!
my young new colege is tidy and neat, nice reinforcement for my own tidiness. i set a reminder on my nokia to clean (shutdown) my desk before going home.
usually it is clean already and it is nothing to clean!

but they need another round.
i used 2 drawers i emptied to remove papers from desk and want to keep it that way – to use top drawes as extension of my desk, so the desktop can stay empty, once i empty it. released lots of clutter while doing it.
i was surprised to see color of my desktop again LOL!

before that i also straightened photos and other picture files on my PC thanks to Picassa

improvement from terribly messy to just messy!

...sort of. half of it was my german class papers – i pulled them out to take them home to my german class papers file – someday i’ll sort them.
CD’s werent easy to tacle, too. i throwed away some and pulled others away from their cases into one zipper CD organiser, so they occupy less space. labeled unlabeled ones, and there’s still some unreadables i don’t want to discard until i see what’s on them.

My reasons why I want this:

1. pleasant work environment
2. good feng shui
3. good image
4. organised documentation
5. nice feeling

I can’t beleive! I released lots of papers it was lots of worthless papers and some very valuable all mixed up. Will sort what has left latter. Now hanging folders are free and I can tacle drawers.

Last couple of days i sorted some things every day. OMG what I have found – I couldn’t believe what old and ugly stuff i had in my desk! I’m so glad I let it go.
