Shelter Institute

After years and years of waiting, I finally made it to the Shelter Institute up in Maine. It’s a school run by the Hennin family where you can learn to build a house.
A man named John Taylor Gatto told me about the school ages and ages ago. Must have been 15 or so. Took me ten years to get there but is was soooo worth it!!
Simply amazing. At the end of the 3week class you walk away with a very well rounded idea of the task ahead and all the tools to accomplish building your own home.
If you are concidering building your own home, I can not recomend this class enough. You learn the entire process from digging your own foundation to planing were you are going to place the piano:)
