I got the call Sunday night on 2/18/07 after 77 years he was gone, Papa had died. My grandmother and her six childern had to plan his funeral. It went rather smoothly I think, but I don’t want my survivors to have to go through that, especially at that time. Plus I don’t want everybody standing around at a calling/wake I just don’t see the point. But then again, I just don’t see everyone that I would want there being able to get there if the only service was the actual funeral anyway the point is I have to make the decisions and talk to my wife and make sure she knows what I want.
