The c-pap machine continues to be a wonderful thing.
Naps are decreasing in frequency.
I am no longer sleeping-walking through life.

Last summer I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and I got a C-PAP machine. The improvement in my sleep was dramatic. I am no longer sleep-walking through life.
I have also been diagnosed with hypersomnia—a common problem associated with traumatic brain injuries.
So I am still having to take naps and all. But at least for the times I am awake, I feel alive.

I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea after a sleep study. I now have a cpap machine and it is helping.
I still sometimes am a bit tired during the day but it is not like it was. This is improving with the proper medical diagnosis and treatment.
I am monitoring my activity levels during the day to make sure that I am not doing “too much” at once.

...but slight increments of progress coupled with setbacks.
I will have to keep working on this one.
I have limited energy. The worst thing I can do is nothing.
I force myself to move, to exercise, to do everything I can.
Sometimes I crash mid-afternoon BUT sometimes I don’t.
I ain’t giving up on this one!

This is part of healing from tbi and no time-table can really be set.
Practicing better sleep hygiene will help in the long-run.
