get married

I go to college in 11 days and I’m not particularly super-stoked about it I just want to get it over with and be married and done with all of this soul searching and self discovery.

of course first I have to actually date in order to even maybe find a husband if anyone will ever tolerate me and my annoyingness.

I went to my first Catholic wedding (and only 2nd wedding overall) this past weekend and it was SO COOL!

Hopefully I’ll be a maid of honor soon… ;]

Fairly unrelated, but

this weekend at the youth conference I went to, they called for all the young women there who had an interest in pursuing the religious life (being a nun) to go to the front of the auditorium (Side note: there were thousands of people there) and when they did a few people kind of turned and nudged me and said go on! but I just don’t know what I’m really gonna do in the world and since I was so uncertain I just sat there and didn’t go up.

I really just want to be a mom so I don’t think I could do the religious life thing and I was just sitting there comtemplating my life and clapping for all the girls going up and a guy from my church turned around and said to me, “any baby would be lucky to have you for a mom” and I just about cried.

I guess that’s kind of related to this goal, at least it is to me.

Today at Mass I watched this family like 2 rows ahead of me and I am so excited to be grown up and married and make my family be that awesome.

The little kids were so cute and the mom was pregnant and the little girl was like kissing her mom’s belly and it was just so sweet. I bet their family does sweet stuff like they probably pray together at night and it is sweet and not awkward at all. That’s what I’m gonna do when I get married, have a really cute family that prays together comfortably and sits together at Mass.

I’m not one of those girlies that has been planning her wedding ever since she was 7 years old and dreams of castles and doves and stuff, but I have discovered the one thing that has to be at my wedding. Has to.

First dance= Baby Got Back

I saw the funniest video of a couple that did a choreographed dance to that for their first dance and I want to so that song bad. That’s basically the biggest reason I am looking forward to getting married, oh and finding someone that I love and cherish and want to spend the rest of my life with, that’s another reason… but dude… Baby Got Back… I’m so excited:]

I should be original and find a song of my own though… maybe there’s another song about butts out there that is loaded with awesome innuendos and inappropriate themes that I could use. WHO KNOWS! I’ve got like a decade to decide so oh well!
