Well, it’s only Wednesday & I count my weeks starting on Monday, so you can’t ask for better than 3 exercise sessions in 3 days, which is enough to call this goal a success. We’re leaving today for Xmas holidays until next Monday afternoon, and while I might go out walking in the next few says, I might not, and it might not be intense enough to count as exercise anyway—one of the reasons I pushed myself to do well early this week.
In 2010 this goal will switch to 4x a week for weeks when I’m not traveling, because I am now confident I can push this a bit further. I am also considering adding 10 to 15 minutes of time for the days I go to the gym, but I’ll have to play that by ear, because too big a time commitment can make me cancel a session completely…
All in all, I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made on this. I don’t think 3 times a week is really enough exercise to lose weight, but I do think it helps health & mind quite a bit. And it’s been a level that is sustainable, which is important.

Yeah, I did 4 sessions! 3 at the gym, one a long walk.
This week, will do gym Monday & Tues, a long walk on Weds & then we’re off for the holidays. I’ll have walking shoes with me, but not sure how the rest of the week will play out…

Barely. Barely made this goal this week. All sessions were walking—one very short (but the next day a long one, so I’m counting them both).
This week : Back to the Gym. And 4 times this coming week, not 3…

Goal acheived again – and I’m starting to think about moving the goal to 4x a week at least for the weeks I’m not traveling. I’m going to start striving for 4x a week but consider a success if I meet 3x.
This week : gym 2x, walking once. May get in another session on Sunday, but I’m not sure…

I’m back in business, at least as far as exercise is concerned. Still taking it step by step to not overdo it, but I’ve felt great after exercising each time.
I went to the gym—carefully, slowly but for one hour on Tuesday, and after that went well came back again yesterday & again today.
I also walked for an hour on Tuesday and for about 2 1/2 today—so I’m well over my 3 exercise sessions (and have my appetite back to prove it).
This weekend we’re out of town & won’t be exercising, but I feel good about it because I got so much activity these past few days.

I walked for at least 30 min 4 times this week. Some days twice that long, in fact.
And I’m feeling a TON better, normal even. So this week will gradually start to head back to the gym – taking it easy at first, but hope to be back to pre-surgery status by the end of the year.

I’m trying to keep on that balance between pushing myself a little bit and not overdoing it. Some days it worked, some days it didn’t. I overdid it a couple of times, but am trying to be more moderate.
I walked at least 25 minutes 5 times this week.

3 done, 2 at the gym & one very long walk.
I thought I’d also get sessions in this weekend, but it didn’t work out because of too many houseguests & scheduled events. It’s okay, I still had my 3 in the bank from earlier in the week.
Next few weeks are off for medical reasons, but as soon as I’m allowed, I’m going right back on track, so I’ll keep counting from my next allowed week as week 9…

I got myself organized enough to book in exercise sessions so I could enjoy the weekend knowing 4 sessions were done (and could add to it if circumstances allowed). They didn’t but that’s fine, as I did 2 good gym sessions, and two long walk during the week.

This week I made it to the gym twice, plus one long walk, so I met my goal. I had planned to get to the gym yesterday but we had workmen in the house most of the day, then I decided to meet a friend for tea in the only time I could have gone to the gym.
I knew I’d make my goal and keeping strong personal support is really important to me right now, so I don’t regret the decision, but another session at the gym would have been nice.
I moved the elliptical level up to 8 today, and although my heart rate showed a difference it was still do-able, so I’m happy to be seeing real progress.
