Just after the first snow of the year; I’m lugging my heavy shopping home with a double pram. The soles of my shoes are basically flat and it’s icy. I’m in real trouble – I thought I was putting at least three people’s lives in danger – plus the possiblility of me crashing into someone in my out-of-control-ness.
I was actually stuck because I’d avoided the concrete path and gone up a hill on the snow, so I wouldn’t slip, but couldn’t get the pram up onto the path where there was a bridge. A lady came over and offered to help and ended up walking me back to the house. THANK YOU LADY! It was maybe 10 minutes of her day, but it meant so much to me!
I smile to all the people I see on the street (it’s also because I’m interested in the reaction), collect people’s balls when I’m getting my own and theirs come the same way… nothing really. It could be a lot easier with people you know. But then it’s not as random I guess.
