I usually do this, to see how people react (a more extreme version is “free hugs” but that requires a bit of organisation) and I have fun.
Yesterday though I saw a guy with a Tshirt that said “Norge, vi elsker dette land” (however you write that in Norwegian, cant remember) and I love it when people inadvertantly make ME smile, which in turn makes them smile :)
