learn to quilt

I love it so much that I have tons of projects and not enough time to finish them! I am marking this task as done, but I’ll never stop learning new techniques. I love going to my classes and learning new blocks and constantly challenging myself to try new things, find the perfect fabric for a project, and giving the results as a homemade gift to be cherished.

I finally finished one of my quilts. This is a quilt that I am donating to my cat club’s raffle at the show next weekend. My instructor gave me the pieces that she received from her sister-in-law from a garage sale or something. I’m hoping it will help the club bring in a lot of money.

I am taking quilting classes at JoAnn’s as well. I have a great instructor who tells me about her dating stories while we learn. I am completing the piecing for a quilt called Bears in the Wood, but I have to take the finishing class before I can finish it. So once the piecing is done, I’m at a stopping point until mid-August.
