After a long time getting the house organized and cleaned (and going to school until last month), I’m stitching again. I’m doing these little 3×3 squares for my sisters-in-law. I’ve started working on the first one already. (I hope they don’t read this- it’s supposed to be a surprise!)
After these are done, I’m going to do something for my husband’s grandparents. I’ve got the kit already, it’s 11×17 I believe. More on that when I start it, so far I’ve just sorted the floss.
I really am quite proud of myself for finishing this in time. Go me! I think I may spend some time scrapbooking (it’s been more than a year and I haven’t done a wedding scrapbook yet) while pondering what my next cross stitch project will be. Maybe one more “small” project before I move on to bigger things.
My sister had an elective surgery in San Diego last Friday. I spent the weekend with her because I’m the only able-bodied relative without a job, and I got my cross stitching done while she slept. I decided to put his name on the top and not put the birthdate (I may change my mind on that, the bottom’s blank still). And for some reason, my French knots just become normal knots, still need more practice there. So I just skipped them. I made Xs for the wheel middles and a quarter stitch for the duckie’s eye.
No picture yet, still unpacking. I came home on Tuesday, but spent Wednesday mostly sleeping, then I had doctors’ appointments today.
Hi everyone, and thanks for the invitation. I had started a 4×6 project with a teddy bear, giraffe, and bunny but now that the baby (my sister’s grandson) is almost a year old, I actually thought it was a little too juvenile. Should have finished it in the Spring when I started it! Oh well, it can wait until the next baby in the family.
With Christmas coming soon, being the baby’s first Christmas, I started this one recently. I had it in my cross stitching box for ages. I worked all day yesterday and for a few hours last week, and I have the heart, right foot, and about 6 of the colored bars done so far. I consider it like 40% done! I’m actually really excited I might finish something in time for once!
