December:
I just cant get enough of things that are freaking me out right now, namely the economy and environmental issues.
Started my goal with ‘Deep Economy’ – a good introduction to the interconnectedness of these issues and some good holistic approaches. I’ve read other books that dive a bit deeper into these topics but it was an entertaining read.
Wrapping up ‘Cradle to Cradle’ – unfortunately, to those of us in the design industry, this message is already deeply ingrained in our psyche. I’m sure it was a ground breaking book in its time (all the way back in ye ol’ 2002) but I guess I was just too slow on the uptake. I’d definitely recommend it to those outside the design world though… its good to know more about the things you buy and use everyday.
Finished ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma’ – READ IT. No matter how I describe it, It won’t sound HALF as good as it actually is. If you care at all about your own health, our planet’s health, the health of our societies… then it is a must read.
