I think I had about a good week of flossing after my last entry, and then it was all downhill. I haven’t flossed since. I keep saying “tomorrow” because I know that now I’ll have to start all over with the discomfort. It’s pretty discouraging.

I flossed and brushed (I remembered a toothbrush) after lunch today. Now I just need to bring a mini toothpaste and mouthwash so I don’t have to transport them back and forth from work. I also flossed this morning. That clean-mouth feeling gets addictive.
I just had lunch and felt the need to floss afterward. I usually remember at night because I am in the habit, but this is the first time I’ve flossed anywhere except at home. Once I flossed, I felt like I should have brushed and used listerine. Once you start, you start to feel weird if you don’t. Maybe I should bring a toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash to work as well (floss is in my bag already).
I have been flossing every day for about 3 weeks now. In the past I started many times for days and then stopped, but I would say I’ve been 6 out of 7 days for the last 3 weeks. It is really tough to start if you haven’t been good to your gums for a while. I try to ignore the urge to just skip it because I know I’m really starting to push it and that if I don’t get better about it now I will need some major dental work. I am still at the point where I can probably return to normal with dedication. I’ve been using listerine, biotene, and flossing on top of my usual twice-a-day brushing. If I don’t see some improvement soon, I may pick up the physicians formula toothpaste with bloodroot that I have researched.
