write a poem every week

I’ll tell you what I am
I’m fucking angry.
That’s right fucking and angry.
Its a bunch of ridiculous crap
when people have no hearts
and no regrets
they destroy people’s lives
and hopes and dreams
because they get paid $150k per year
and can’t keep their promises
by promoting me to 18k per year
with benefits.
Because I don’t have any fucking health care
and haven’t had any for two years
and I’ll I am asking is a shitty promotion
that this god forsaken company can more than afford.
That is the vent of the day.

Emotions are everywhere and nowhere.
Especially the ones I used to have
or do not want to have anymore.
Feelings used to have meaning or none
yet they have more than I’m willing to face
these days.
people are more disconnected yet
more tangible now.
i’m either a stoic robot
or an overwhelmed poe impersonation
only not as cool
or intelligent
or understanding of what is going on.
Things in the future, even bleak
seem better than no future at all.
