I am very much slacking on this goal at the moment. The fact that I haven’t beene exercising is making me tired, and then less likely to do stuff – such a vicious circle. I did go to an evil personal trainer a few days ago, who had me doing 1km sprints, which was pure hell. Still, I have some renewed vigour, so I’ll try to keep pushing myself on this one.
I did send away my entry form a few days ago, so I have no excuses.

Yes, I added another 1.5k onto my personal best! Wooohooo. Especially since yesterday and the day before I had not really been able to achieve anything on the old running machine. I’m pretty proud of myself. I have to start running outside on April 1st, so I might try and run an indoor 10k before then if I’m feeling fit and fresh, but I won’t push it.
Tomorrow: yoga for my aching limbs.

Today I was back at the gym with gusto. Although I only managed to run 6k instead of the 8 I was planning, I did row, bike, and cross train as well, so I guess I got something out of it. My legs are getting tired whilst I run. Still, come 1st April, I’ll be running outside (today was warm enough), and I’m looking forward to that. I’ll have to find my runners watch though. It is somewhere in my room, but god knows where.

I’ve got a sexy chesty cough and a sore throat, which puts training on the backburner at the moment. I wish I could say that I miss it, but I don’t really. I just hope that not training doesn’t become a baaad habit.

I ran 7k again today. I wanted to run 7.5, but I just couldn’t make it. I guess I shouldn’t be too upset, since I had only been at the gym only once this wk. if i am going to make any headway, I need to be at the gym more, which means not exhausting myself at work. Must try harder.

Today I just ran 4k, but at least I wasn’t tired after it. I’ve been having weird chest pains and dizziness recently, so I didn’t want to push myself too hard.
My entry for the 10k in May has been confirmed – no backing out now!

I am so proud of myself! Yesterday, I ran the furthest I have ever run: 7k. I was exhausted from it, and today, for the first time, my legs hurt. But I am also getting sick, so that doesn’t help. But I was sooo pleased!!! So, next wk, I am trying for 7.5k – I know, adding half a k is not much, but it was so hard to get this far, I don’t want to push my wee body too hard.

Saturday is always a day off from everything for me, so it’s back to the gym tomorrow. I want to run 6-6.5k if possible. Last week I was able to run 6k, so I need to add to that. Someone told me that I should add 10% each wk, so it should take about 5wks (I have terrible maths, I just made that up) to get to 10k from where I am now. That’s assuming I don’t hit a wall. Fingers crossed.

I have the dedication of a small gnat. I can easily run 4k right now, but after that, I get bored and lose my motivation. I have 2mths to get to 10k – is that even possible? I personally believe your body can do almost anything you ask of it, but even I might be stretching it here.
