start postcrossing

I have postcards here, but have no stamps. I don’t use paper mail for anything anymore! I can probably excavate some 28 cent stamps or something, whatever postage used to be years ago – but don’t have anything current.

I keep meaning to get to the post office, but haven’t done so yet. Maybe I’ll put it on tomorrow’s list… so I can send these postcards off to China, Belgium, and Germany!

There’s just something simple and human(e) about this that I find really compelling. That, and the idea that receiving these postcards could be a really cool way for my kid to learn about other parts of the world, even if only by trying to find on his globe the places from where each postcard was sent.

Anyway – I’ll send my first two out tomorrow… and then wait…
