Is $137.57 and I was planning on putting it all into savings…making that $1,408 of earned savings.
BUT this weekend I’m going to visit my friend in the city, and I’m gonna need that to spend.
So,
It costs $20 for a roundtrip train ticket.
At least $8 for a metrocard.
We’ll probably eat at least one meal in the city, $20-$30?
Movie tickets – $12.50
Recreation – $20
so thats about 80-90 dollars…yikes.

I have over 3,000 in the good ol’ savings bank, but some of that is grad money, and scholarship money. So I don’t really count that as money I’ve earned.
Approximately $1,271 of that is what I’ve earned from paychecks at my old job and babysitting.
But I have a new job and I’m expecting a $100 paycheck. That’ll go straight into savings because I need to save for my trip this summer!
But for my next paycheck, I might split it between savings and checking because I also don’t want my mom paying for everything while I’m in college.

but I have to start small and take baby steps! Ever since I opened my savings account, I adore depositing money and seeing numbers go up! And, my interest improves every month. It’s such a good feeling to have. I feel like I’ve accomplished something every time I make a deposit, instead of cashing the paycheck. :)
