A song that makes you want to get out your lighter and roar along with the crowd
Has to be a good anthem. Anyone can play loud, fewer bands can sound good playing loud (Black Sabbath, for instance), but this has to have that buildup to the final, loud sing-along chorus. “Hey Jude” comes to mind.
A song that makes you want to throw the radio out of the window rather than listen to it
“Boom Boom Pow” by the Black-Eyed Peas. File under Talent, comma, total lack of. They’re not even on key. There’s not really even a key for them to be on.

a single thing yet on this challenge! Ah, well, no time like the present.
1. The song that would be the theme song for the film of your life (to date)
Oh, start out with the toughie, whydon’tcha. My first impulse was to choose something by Warren Zevon. If I was in a cynical mood, it’d be “Mr. Bad Example”; only slightly less cynical (and only possibly more accurate) would be “Lawyers, Guns, and Money” (as done by his son in this case, with the Wallflowers).
I then considered this one, because it’s fantastic and I want to be cool enough to warrant this as a theme. Hell, I want to be one-tenth this cool. I’ll never make it.
Finally, as far as instrumental themes, there’s this, which I always pictured as a great action theme to something. I saw Kodo in concert, and it was pretty amazing; probably the most athletic musical performance I’ve ever seen. DJ Strobe updates them and brings them to this side of the Pacific in style. Surprised to see that it was in Queer as Folk.
Anyway, I dunno. Pick one.
