Well, finally...

My first podcast is up! It’s a current affairs and politics show called The Secret Frequency. Let me know what you think!

(And yes, we’re fixing the link colors so they stand out better. Give us a day or so.)

Edited to fix link. Give it a try now!

Severe technical probs

Did one yesterday but erased it; we had some severe problems getting Skype, Audacity, and my Blue Snowball mic to work together properly. Result was not usable. I’ll likely go without Skype (and therefore without call-ins) for the near future, but I really could use some technical advice from those what’s done it. If you can help, please comment or email…

Going to a panel format

Once again, I’m front-burnering this goal. I’m giving it a new twist and imagining the show as a panel show on politics, much like Politically Incorrect. This will allow me to actually talk to people, and maybe give me some practice for when I strike out on my own, if that day ever comes.

New mic

I received a great new microphone for Christmas, a Blue Snowball. It’s the Cadillac of podcasting mics. I’ll have to do a podcast now, one way or the other.

Serious setback

I recorded my podcast, and it was a dog. Oh, man, did it suck. I can’t do this for anything…I’m terrible just talking to a mic, and really need to have someone with me just to talk to.

Guest-starring again

I’m on a podcast – however, it isn’t my podcast. I ended up as a guest star on Big Wired’s seventh episode. You can hear it right here.

To heck with the co-host

I’m going to do it solo. I’m the only one whose schedule I can count on (and in some cases, I can’t even do that).

Topics, as before, will be news, sports, politics, music, and an interview. The emphasis will be mostly political…I might have to reassess the sports angle as well, depending on what original info I can get.

I'm on, sort of

I recorded a cameo appearance on Monday on Prometheus Radio Theatre; I played a no-good, one-scene villain in one of their radio plays. I’m told it will be posted around October.

Still looking for a co-host

Would have to be local, I would expect…though if there’s a way to do it remotely, that might be interesting as well.

Running into real life

Well, between the job, the kids’ activities, and possibly starring in a play, I don’t have the time for this right now. My early attempts, however, have shown me that I need to have a co-host, or expect to do a lot of editing.
