Oh well

Forgot to mention: St. Paul’s by the Sea, in Ocean City, has a labyrinth which is only open on Wednesdays, and only during certain months. :-(

Ocean City

Found that one of the churches near the Inlet in Ocean City has a labyrinth inside…

Uh-huh

Wouldn’t you know, on the day that I got dismissed from my job, where there was a labyrinth on the roof? That was the day they closed the roof access for five weeks while they repair and landscape the green roof.

Talk about your serendipity

I recently discovered that the roof of my office building was extensively remodeled as a “green roof”...and while I haven’t been up there yet, I understand the centerpiece of the remodeling is a labyrinth.

Of course, doing so has caused it to rain rather extensively since then… :-) ...but I will be paying a visit sometime soon.

There is a slight problem with this. While there are numerous companies and organizations which share this building, I do not like my current job, and it concerns me some that I won’t be able to get into the proper mindset for walking the labyrinth in prayerful contemplation. Kind of like trying to have a moment of silent meditation while in the stands during the waning moments of a football game.

Not quite

Had an opportunity to do so at the Maryland Faerie Festival recently, but there were kids running all over the place, including through the labyrinth itself. I like the idea of kids having fun, but it wasn’t the sort of prayerful, contemplative atmosphere that I wished to have when walking a labyrinth. I decided instead to just stay at our booth.
