My current hormonal medication has been working quite well it seems. Its been nice to not have to worry about it on a daily basis, although its not perfect. Cheers to making progress though!

Today I went to a dermatologist. Interesting to hear, but not much I haven’t heard before. Its not too bad anymore just persistent, so I switched to a different antibiotic and a stronger topical gel. Hopefully this helps clear things up! I look forward to make up free skin this summer and then all year after that =)
Also got spectro jel, does it ever make your skin sooofft!
So nine months since my last entry and things are.. better.. mostly. My skin in more clear, but so frustatingly, not completely clear. I still get hormonal acne around my period, and no matter what I don’t seem to be able to prevent it. It is frustating, but I am still grateful at the general improvement of my skin from minocycline. I have requested a vist to a dermatologist from my doctor so hopefully that comes in soon and i can get some good advice on how to completely get rid of it. I just want to be able to get up in the morning and not have it concern me at all what my skin looks like on that particular day.
So I went to the doctor. I got a prescription for Minocycline and Differen. I would definately reccomend these two things becuase it’s only been a week and there are already resluts, and also they are easy to use. Minocycline is just one pill morning and night, no wierd eating schedules or avoiding dairy or anything. And the differen you just put on at night, it dries quickly and doesn’t sting or make your skin too red.
I look forward to 2010 to finally getting everything under control!!
I’ve got a blog on acne.org now where I’m keeping track day to day of my situation.
I also just purchased Genuine Health ‘Perfect Skin’ tablets so I hope those will be effective.
Having clear skin would have so many benefits for me:
1. More confidance
2. I wouldn’t have to wear makeup on my skin (I hate the cakey feeling, and it would save me time in the morning)
3. I want to be a model (I have good bone structure and am very tall and thin, but clear skin is so essential)
4. I’m going on a mission trip in April to Costa Rica and I DO NOT want to be bringing foundation and concealers and washes and everything. I want that time to focus on what’s important.
