I’ve found that those who really matter are those to whom you really matter. Don’t waste your time trying to reach out and touch those who don’t reach back.

I’ve just graduated from Pensacola Christian College, and it’s with mixed feelings. Most of my friends are underclassmen, and even those graduates I was close to are scattering back across the broad face of the planet (we have a large international student demographic). Thank God for email, but it’s still going to be hard to keep in touch. Well, it’s what I’m going to set out to do, anyway.
The key to never losing touch is never being unreachable. “As much as lieth in you,” disseminate and re-disseminate all your contact info, and keep old lines of contact connected to you via forwarding and who knows what else as long as possible. In our information age, this is sometimes made easier, and sometimes harder, but it is rarely impossible (just frightfully expensive).
