finally proper medication 17 months ago

I finally found a better doctor for my thyroid problems. My previous doctor was severely under-dosing me- I went from .25 mcg of synthroid to .125 mcg! I had some trouble last month with a pharmacy accidentally filling my scrip with a generic- didn’t catch until a few weeks later when I realized my hair was falling out again and I was rapidly gaining weight, where I had been losing (it takes a while for this med to get in and out of your system). Situation resolved, back on track, and hoping this helps with the underlying resistance to losing weight that has been kicking my butt in the past few years.

Ugh. Right now, this is not happening. I realize I need to get some medical care and remove some obstacles before I really set this goal again.

I have cut out sugar/candy and am only eating fruit when I get the munchies. We put a moratorium on soda at our house and I’m drinking water, iced tea (mostly green tea) and sugar-free lemonade. I’ve lost a little more weight, but I know I won’t really start losing until I get a regular exercise routine. So that is the next step.

I have not been exercising consistently in the last two weeks because I have been sick, but I have not been eating as many snacks and drinking more water. I have lost four pounds.

has come and gone, and it’s going to be my LAST fat Fat Tuesday! For lent I’m giving up pastries and working harder on keeping a regular exercise schedule.
