organize my studio

I moved all my office equipment into a corner and set everything up, so now I have the office section of my studio done. Yay!

I moved an old bookshelf into the studio and started putting my crafty and how-to books in one place.

I cleared out a bunch of extraneous stuff, moved some things to the attic. (Yeah, that’s not the ultimate solution, but it’s a start). The room is much more functional and I can get to my supplies.

My new desk is together and in place, and I am using it daily. It is now the official parking spot for my laptop. There is still a lot do to in the room, but I am really encouraged. Also, I worried that I wouldn’t be able to work in there until the room was “perfect” (or at least much better) but I am glad to see that I don’t have any trouble focusing once I get in there at my desk and start working. Very encouraging!

Worked on my room Friday for about three hours. I moved a piece of furniture I’m not using up to the attic (got my exercise!). Cleared a space to put all my papers and paperwork that are cluttering the room and my life into one spot, so I can see what I have to deal with and go through it systematically and keep track of it. Cleared a designated spot for my new computer/writing desk, which will be arriving shortly.

Brought home sturdy boxes from work for organizing and packing up stuff I am not currently using. That’s all I got done on this project this week.

Worked on my room for about an hour; got fabric out of boxes and stacked it on some shelving where it will be in view and hopefully inspire. Also cleared out a couple boxes of misc stuff.

I worked on my room last night for about an hour, throwing out paper and boxes and organizing various things, putting them in their proper spots as I cam across them.

Tonight I worked on my room for over an hour. I packed up two boxes of books and finished packing up my costume tub from mardi gras and put it in storage. Moved the blue chair into the living room where it matches and uh, someone can sit on it instead of it holding clutter. Moved a couple boxes of collageable books to the attic. And emptied fabric boxes and stacked the fabric on the wire shelf, out where I can see and use it.

I got rid of an office chair that was too big for the room.
