I have the final root canal session coming up next week. Made an appointment with a new endocrinologist. Made a dermatologist appointment without delay because I have some kind of freaky skin condition. Yay appointments! Appointments mean I actually got off my butt and did something about all this physical stuff that’s bugging me.

I had two this week. Going back in two weeks to finish the job. Lovely, lovely vicodins are helping me deal.
Made dentist appointments- two upcoming root canals. Fun stuff, but it will be good to have it taken care of.
I also got some calcium/magnesium/zinc supplements today, so I can add those to my vitamin routine (that I am somewhat erratic about, but getting better).
I have been doing much better about keeping a nightly routine of skin care and brushing and flossing. The key seems to lie in doing all this BEFORE I get so tired that all I can do is drag myself from the couch to bed.
I’ve been taking a break from wearing makeup just so see whether the puffiness around my eyes changes.
Hmmm, I’m making progress and not making progress on this—I had to cancel most of my dr. appts because I was broke, in the process of changing jobs and insurance. However, these are the good things:
1. cut WAY back on sugar and processed carbs—eating fruit for snacks.
2. eating a lot less between meals.
3. my new work has a free gym! How convenient is that! Now I just have to use it.
4. Now that my new insurance is in place, can reschedule those dr. appts.
I visited my endocrinologist yesterday and renewed my thyroid prescription. Yay! I know I will feel better once I am taking those again.
Also, at the endo’s request I made an appt at an orthopedist to look at my ankle, which I twisted a few weeks ago and still has some swelling.
And I made a dentist appt to get a cavity filled and also look at another issue with my teeth.
Progress!
I actually managed to redo my hair color when I just had about 1/4” of roots, which is much better than my previous record. Also, gave myself a pedicure and got my feet in shape for summer shoes.
I made a list of health-related appointments for which I need to set dates, and their relative importance/timing.
This isn’t just about losing weight—I need to take better care of my body overall and take some pride in myself, my appearance. I have problems with consistency, so I need to create a system that will work for me, that I can keep up without it taking up a huge amount of my time, because feeling behind or oppressed or obligated by a beauty regimen does not help me. I have no intention of ever becoming high maintenance, but I need to do more than I am now because I am not happy with how I present myself a lot of the time.
