I’m 10st6 :-( Crap. Now i have to work mega hard to lose all that weight again. Not happy and not in the mood to be motivated today. Need a plan!!

well i started my course weighing 9st3 in sept and now im 9st10! really need to start eating better but this course just makes me want to eat junk all day. better sort it out otherwise ill be 11st10 again!
I’ve joined a challenge with the WW community which runs from 1st Sept- 22nd Dec-16 weeks. The aim is to lose at least a stone but seeing as that would take me below my goal weight my aim is to get to goal and stay that way.
If i achieve my goal of being 9st7 by mid Sept then i should only have roughly half a stone to go.
I’m hoping this challenge will keep me on track at uni and stop me from putting weight on.
Can’t wait to buy my own scales and start cooking for myself at uni :-) x

today i weigh 9stone10pounds which means that i now have a healthy BMI (25) and i have lost 2 whole stone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay. had a choccie bar and going round a friends for a takeaway to celebrate.
oh, and a found a lovely dress which i’m just about to buy. it’s the first time since god knows how long that i’ve triend something on and actually like the way it looks.

i know i shouldn’t do this but i’m going to have to change that last goal. my fault- took me a week or so to get my act together. today i weigh 10st 3 so i’m going to set my goal at 9st13 pounds for the 26th july (will have to weigh in early as going away). this will mean a) i’ll be back on track b) i’ll be in the 9’s and c) i’ll be much slimmer than when my friends last saw me!
Going okay so far. Lost 1 stone and 5 pounds (wahooo!!) but got to this weight a good few months ago and i’ve come to a standstill now. Grr.
I’d forgotton i’d written this goal down actually and re-reading it has sort of helped me get motivated again. I’m really really pleased that i’m almost on track (i should be 10st3 this weekend).
I seem to get to roughly this weight then end up putting it all back on again so i’m really determined to break through this barrier!
My sis and i have set ourselves mini goals and mine is to be 9st10 by the 27th July 08 which is when i’m seeing some old uni friends again. I think i need a new gym programme!!
Crap. After a 2 week all inclusive holiday and a very indulgent christmas i can’t believe i weigh this much!! it’s disgusting and i’m so embarrassed that i’ve let myself get this way. i’m dreading seeing my holiday photos!! in September 2004 i was a size 12 and weighed 9 stone- now 3 years and 4 months later i am almost 3 stone heavier. my bmi has gone from 23 (5ft2, 126 pounds) to 30.2 (165) !!!! That’s obese!! Right. I’ve got to do something about this. I don’t want to be this fat when i (hopefully) start my teaching course in sept.
Okay, so i don’t see any reason why i can’t get back to 9 stone but i think i need to take into account the fact that i was 18 when i weighed that and i had a much more active lifestyle than i could have now with the job i do. (i’m a receptionist/administrator which involves sitting on my bum a lot).
My aim is to weigh 149 pounds/10 stone 9 pounds by my 22nd birthday and then to weigh 133 pounds/9 stone 7 by mid september.
It’s 16 weeks until my 22nd birthday and as we are going to Rome the week after i want to be able to enjoy the food but also get some nice pictures of myself. I’ll use this as my halfway point. After we get back from Rome it will be another 16 weeks until (all going well) i start my teaching course.
I’m going to aim to lose 1 pound a week for a total of 32 weeks. In the past i have tried exercise alone (i lost about 6 inches all over but no weight) and diet alone (i lost 4 pounds in the first week and 2 in the second but didn’t see many physical changes). I think if i combined the 2 1 pound a week will be realistic and achievable.
My general plan is the following:
EXERCISE
1) Get a plan from the gym similar to the first one i did- it took 45 mins 3 times a week and was really effective. (def sundays with mum and then tuesdays after work and fridays after school?)
2) Go swimming once a week for 30-40 mins (prob weds morning)
3)Go for a 20-30 min walk everyday- could be walking the dog or going out before work or at lunchtimes
I need to exercise to lose weight but mainly because i’ve been getting a lot of aches and pains lately and i think it’s because i’m not active enough. I’ve been getting pains in my hips especially and think it’s because i’m sat down all day. Need to move around more!
DIET
1) As much as i’m going to hate it at first no chocolate or fizzy drinks etc for a month! once i get past the first few days it’ll be fine. it’s when i have the first piece of chocolate or glass of coke that i fall off the wagon. there are 3 very good reasons for doing this: 1) to lose weight, 2) to protect my teeth from all the sugar and 3) to get rid of my bloody spots!! i’ll also have to cut down sugar in tea to one small one and only have 1 cup of tea a day mon-thurs (they’re crap at work anyway) and 2 a day fri-sunday. (this is my equivalent of an extra alcoholic drink at the weekends.lol)
2) eat breakfast! porridge or bran cereals and a piece of fruit
3) make lunch at home otherwise i’ll buy crap. soup or salads are easy and healthy enough- with some pitta or crispbreads which i actually really like.
4) have a piece of fruit for an afternoon snack-especially when i’m at work as i don’t eat tea till after 7
5) evening meal- eat less amounts of food esp on days when we eat later because i have less time to digest it all.
6) when we go out for meals or have take-aways no starters or desserts (don’t need starter anyway and desserts make me feel sick). just have to be sensible and watch the amount i eat- also watch drinks!
7) boring but drink more water. it’ll help my skin especially.
Phew. I think that’s about it. I’m also going to use a weight loss diary which i found on the net to help me keep motivated etc. Not going to do it every day but just as and when needed.
I can’t wait to be a slim size 12 again!
