I don’t know how I managed to fall behind so quickly!! Eh well.
17. Bridget Jones’s Diary- Helen Fielding (The Chicklit continues…)

12. How the Irish Saved Civilization- Thomas Cahill
13. Jane Eyre- Charlotte Bronte
14. Alias Grace- Margaret Atwood
15. 1916- Morgan Llewelyn (Historical fiction about the Easter Uprising. Not bad, but the dialogue was a bit iffy.)

6. Pride and Prejudice- Jane Austen
7. Good in Bed- Jennifer Weiner (Actually VERY good! Thought it would be just another Chicklit, but it turned out to have some real substance- it was funny and generally lighthearted, but there was definitely more than just a shallow read. There’s my 10 second review.)
8. The Oxford History of Ireland- ed. R. F. Foster
9. The Partly Cloudy Patriot- Sarah Vowell
10. On Liberty and Other Essays- John Stewart Mill
11. Culture and Anarchy- Matthew Arnold

Okay, probably not the most cerebral start to a booklist for a year, but not bad thus far:
1. To Have and to Hold; Jane Green
2. Mr. Maybe; Jane Green
3. Othello
4. White Teeth; Zadie Smith
5. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
That’s it, thus far. I am kinda going through a Chick Lit phase (I can’t help it…), and 3-5 have been for classes.
