- For the book “Journey from Abandonment to Healing”. This book has helped me uncover a lot of pain I’d been carrying since childhood. It’s teaching me to sit and accept my feelings and helping me to love myself. I have felt much lighter since I started practicing the advice inside
- For 43 things- It’s been almost 3 years since I last wrote an entry but it helped provide an outlet for me at the time for some of my issues
- For inspiration- The last couple of weeks, I’ve had a lot of inspiration writing my book. I am 70% complete
- For my job- It’s not perfect but it helps me pay my bills and also save a bit

- For the nice guy who worked on my car at Walmart. He told me that there was a 3 hour wait but my car got done within 15 minutes!!!!!!!
- For taking the leap and cutting off my hair. I was a bit nervous about doing this but my hair has been filled with so many split ends that have stifled its growth that this was just necessary. Feels good to run my hands through my scalp, massaging and oiling it.
- For the heavy snow which gave me the opportunity to cut my hair. It made me change plans and do something my hair really needed
- For my family
- For God’s protection

- For the internet, in particular google. This engine has served me well innumerable times. I can’t even believe what my life would be like without it
- For just being alive and not overly sad today. I have to remember to be grateful for this because when I get sad, it’s hard to be positive
Bonus entry
I am grateful for this young man who keeps calling me. I call him young but he’s really just 2 years younger than I am (I feel like Demi Moore). He’s cute and his attentions are really flattering. When I think of him, it brightens up my day

- Narrowly missed getting into an accident twice. The roads are extra extra slippery due to the ice and freezing temperatures. Twice I lost control of my car. It was scary but no accident, thanks to God
- For my friend K who shared something personal with me. Turns out, we have the same issue and it bonded us more
- For a relatively okay day. Smiled at some people, did some reading. Nothing crazy happened
- For Better Business Bureau. They consistently win my customer service issues for me

- For Borat: Saw it for the first time yesterday and have replayed it 3 times since then. What a mood lifter !!!! I can’t stop laughing and it’s the deep, belly type variety. A couple of days ago, I was really down and this has helped lift my mood.
- For the phone call I got from a friend, from another country. Even though it’s expensive to call the U.S. from where he is, he made the effort to call me and kept calling back when the phone disconnected.
- For the sweet block buster attendant who was so happy, friendly and helpful.
- For a heater that works. It is so cold outside. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrh
- That life is not always “all bad” or “all good”. That even when I’m feeling down, I can rest assured that the tide will turn and I’d feel better, without resorting to any drugs… at least not yet.

-For one of my closest friends K. We’ve been friends for 6 years and she is the warmest, most forgiving person I know around my age group. The other day I called her depressed … I was thinking about my ex and was just consumed with hurt feelings. She stayed with me on the phone for about 2 hours, made sure I was okay and even checked up on me the next day. Sometimes, all you want is a listening ear and she provides that for me.
- For an upcoming interview. I have final rounds with another company and I’m keeping my fingers crossed
- For a class mate who serves as a reminder that age does not necessarily mean maturity. She’s about 22 and very very mature with lots of leadership qualities. She has no idea, I am learning from her
-For the upcoming holiday. Thanksgiving
-For good people
