not good 9 months ago

late last night, I ate french fries and drank sweet tea, both from McDonald’s

today probably doesn't count either 9 months ago

I had some fried okra for brunch. and a coca-cola. okra is a veggie though, right? later, i had some ramen noodles. I am sure there isn’t a drop of nutrition in those. for dinner I had about half a can of tuna, a little mac-n-cheese, and some green peas. plus, you know, another coca-cola.

i can see what i am doing wrong. fried is right out, ramen is terrible, and the cokes have got to go soon. but, i guess right now, it is the effort and the admitting exactly what the problem is, that counts most. if i can face the situation straight on, eventually i can make the changes.



I almost ate healthy today 9 months ago

I had a wrap from Einstein Bros Bagels with bacon egg and cheddar. I had yellow rice with tomatoes and maduros at Havana. I had an egg salad sandwich with lettuce on wheat bread. A small wheat bagel with peanut butter. I had a hard boiled egg. I had a few grapes. I had a large iced mocha and two cans of coca-cola.

Okay. That seems much worse now that I have typed it out. Maybe if I type it out more often, i can get a true grip on eating something healthy.

I am actually eating a bit healthier. I am dieting, so it is confusing some days. I am avoiding processed foods. Also avoiding most carbs and fast food. I am eating more veggies and drinking more water. I haven’t had a soda in weeks. I had 2 cans of soda on Christmas Eve. I had a large sweet tea a few days ago. I still drink coffee, but have stopped putting in sweetener, only adding creamer.
