...and have just bought The Non-Runners Marathon Trainer. Gonna take this week easy, read the book, and plan what to do next. There is a half marathon and 10K in Sept. Not sure whether to train for the half marathon or spend the next few months developing my jogging/running for a faster and better 10K in September.

I’m training for the women’s 10K, then in September there is a half marathon so I’ll keep training for that. This means that realistically I’m looking at 2008 to run a marathon. So, watch all 10K entries until May 13th!
Well I’ve finished my first week and I’m on to the second. I have to say that on some masochistic level I’ve started to enjoy running in the evening in bad weather. Bought myself some gloves at the weekend as it’s been pretty chilly. Going to promise myself something really nice as a reward for completing week 4. Hmm…
Went out for my second run this morning, got up at 7 and went out in the wind, the rain and the dark.
Last night after work I went out for a run. The weather was miserable, rain and wind and of course because this is Scotland in November it was pitch black too. I’m only a beginner so it wasn’t exactly a spectacular run, but it’s a start.
