Well, I ran 6.3km on Saturday. It took me about an hour (why am I such a slow runner? It doesn’t feel like I’m going slow at the time…), but I increased my personal best distance (from 4.5km) and the longest length of time I’ve ever run (from 40 minutes). I figure that if I keep going a little bit farther and a little bit longer, I’m making progress!

Well, I started running last week for the first time in 2 years. I was pretty impressed with how long I could run without getting tired; I thought I would be dead after the first 10 minutes considering it had been so long since I ran.
Last night I ran 4.5Km in 40 minutes, which I realize is pretty slow, but I had never run that far or that long before, so it was a big deal to me.
I just found out, while watching the Olympics, that a marathon is 42km long. For everyone out there who has actually done this: ARE YOU FREAKING CRAZY?! How the heck do you even begin to prepare for something like that!!
Hats off to ya!
