my smiles are more sincere but they’re still close-lipped. i’d like to give toothy genuine smiles to people.

i want to give genuine smiles to strangers. i notice that i often give these tight-lipped, half-smiles, as if i’m scared that i’ll smile and they’ll think i’m a loony for smiling so brightly. why not give a smile?

i think if i smile at others, it will get me out of my own head. i won’t be riddled with insecurity. and smiling at others doesn’t mean they’re going to smile back; that’s not the point in doing it. but i wouldn’t be surprised if they do smile too. :)
