Wanna get a lip ring

A while ago I wanted a lip ring but I thought it’d be best if I didn’t because I’d have to take it out for karate and school so I gave up the idea. I completely forgot about it until my friend saw a pic of me with a fake one and told me I should do it and I thought about it and I really want to but my mom said no… and if I do it behind her back she’ll most likely kill me.. Advice?
