own a new car

After buying a 1983 Lincoln Continental Mark IV in September, I have found that it barely gets 15 miles per gallon, and I can’t afford a gas hog like that. Then again, my husband plunked down the cash for it, so it’s paid. Insurance is paid up for a year. I just hate to have to keep putting gas in it every 3rd day or so. IT really sucks. I’m not making enough money to keep my car filled up.

Yesterday, we went looking for used cars and new cars. My car is about to die a violent death…the transmission is going out, and will cost more to fix than the amount I paid for the car! (well, almost) I may end up getting a brand-new car, but it will be my hubby paying for it, not me. Not saying that I am too lazy to pay, but how about, currently unemployed and looking for gainful employment? That may be what has him buying a used car.

I saw it ranked in Life Magazine as one of the top 5 “Sexy” cars. It’s boxy, it’s cool.
