read every book I own

I’ve gotten a little side tracked on this. I think I need to go through my books and truly decide which ones I’m interested in and which one’s I’m not and donate them to a used bookstore or something.

I’ve been doing a lot of re-reading as well (Harry Potter at the moment) so I’ve kind of taken a step back lol.

Now that I’ve quit my job I might actually be able to complete this. While I worked there I would tell myself not to buy books, but it always happened. Now that I am without a discount, books aren’t on my top ‘to-buy’ list right now.

I am completing this every time I read a new book.

I know there’s tons of book list sites out there, but I think this one is one of the best. If your in need of keeping track of your books and want to record them online www.goodreads.com is an awesome site for it, I highly recommend it. Not only can you make a list of your books in general, you can mark off the one’s you’ve read, want to read, and are currently reading!

I got rid of a BUNCH of books. My dad and I are moving in a few months and most of these books are either his or my mom’s. They aren’t my kind of books so I really have no interest in reading some of them. We got rid of the ones neither of us wanted so now I’m left with a total of 92 books. (35% of which I’ve already read) I am definitely making head-way now.

Now that I work at Chapters (a book store) I don’t think I will ever finish all the books I own. They are more my dad’s and mom’s anyways and I don’t think I want to read them anyways. I shall see though, it’s just there are so many other books I would rather read!

I need to start reading again!! I haven’t read a book for over a month now. Man.

It took me SO long to read Anne Frank’s Diary, I don’t really know why but I didn’t feel like reading it. I’m done it now though, but I need to take a break from all my old books because we just got the new Harry Potter book today! Hurray!

I counted all books that I have yet to read, and I counted 84. I have a few books too that I have already read, and would like to read again, so I’m just going to round this number to around 100. This goal is going to take a long time. Half of the books are Stephan King and Danielle Steel, and as everyone know’s, most of those books are fairly big. Well, I’m starting off with The Diary of Anne Frank. I’ve been meaning to read this book for year’s now. Finally I’ll get to sit down and read it.
