Called the Insurance adjuster regarding the lightning strike and worked out a plan to get her all the documentation she needs…so glad to get this step completed.
Caught up on billing and receipts at work.

I can be so intense with my other goals. WHY do I resist naming the ONE THING that really must be done on a given day? I feel accomplished when it comes to the fitness and cleaning goals here, but I am fearful of naming the ONE THING that needs to be done. Maybe because I really do not want to do the ONE THING. Maybe if I don’t name it, then I can procrastinate doing the thing I most do not want to do. Wouldn’t it be sooo much more stress free to get the ONE THING out of the way, instead of drawing this misery out so much!
Since I have fear about this goal, I’ve decided to face my fear and go ahead and name the ONE THING, and be willing to fail in achieving it. If I can NAME IT, then I can deal with it, instead of burying it somewhere down deep in my subconscious. So it may take me a week to do the ONE THING…Even so, that’s better than the ridiculous amount of time these things I procrastinate doing take. So, I’m admitting this weakness I have for ignoring certain tasks. I want to be a responsible person. I can take on tasks that I don’t enjoy and complete them without trying to hide from them. I will take small steps towards conquering this flaw until my weakness becomes a strength. Step by step, I want to make strides toward being a more responsible person.
So to name the ONE THING…I need to spend half an hour today working on getting information to my insurance company in regard to recovering reimbursement for lightning strike damage that occurred to my home.
I am embarrassed at how sad this post sounds, but I need to face my unjustified fear of this goal!!!
