And it’s driving me crazy!! Some of my rewards are simply just a new goal to put in it’s place, but still! I’m trying to control my budget and part of that is making sure I’m fully using the stuff I currently have before buying new stuff. To show myself I don’t have to deny myself anything, just appreciate fully what I have.
Also, I have a tendency to get ahead of myself with goals and list everything I want to do at once instead of just focusing on what’s important to me now and then adding new things in as they become available.
So here’s the rewards I have set in place now:
develop a monthly budget and stick with it – Part of this budget will be having a long term savings goal and a short term savings goal… The short term savings will be for me to get new vanity mirrors. Two of them. One for me and one for Christian. I’ll also be keeping track of what my short term savings will be on here as I complete this goal
live within 80% of my income – Once I’m doing this the other 20% of my income will be going to the new goal that replaces it: save $2000 which will be extra living expenses for the move… to give me more cushioning for finding a job out there, buying furniture, etc.
exercise 3x weekly – when I’ve completed this goal, I’ll move it up to 4x weekly
declutter my bedroom – my reward for this goal is that I finally get to buy more hangers for my skirts so they can each have their own space to be loved. I’ll also probably start decluttering something else…
Donate/Sell/Trash all unecessary belongings that I dont love/dont inspire me – when this goal is complete I get to start researching feng shui books and make that my next book to be purchased when a new “buying slot” becomes available… also, re-add the goal learn more about Feng Shui
move someplace where it’s warm in the winter – after I accomplish this I’ll have a goal of finding a job hopefully only briefly (or possibly not at all) and then I’ll make a new goal that I’ve been dying to have on here of have 6 months salary in savings oh how I’ll rejoice when that goal is complete!!
reading books related goals – I’m only allowed to buy one new book from here on out for every THREE books I read… I have so many that I need to read before I can move forward!!
try 43 new cheeses – to be replaced with try 43 new beers or try 43 new wines depending on which I’d prefer at that time
beat Mario Galaxy – add new goal of beat Paper Mario on Game Cube
read the GOOD book – when I’m done with this than my next goal will be to complete the FACE workbook ...unless I get them done at the same time…
