And I am still looking for that job.

I was laid off the end of April from a job that I hate from day one. I was acutally happy when my manager said that was going to have to let me go. I almost jumped for joy right there in her face! It was all I could do to contain my emotions until I got into my car and out of the parking lot. I knew the lay off was coming, so I wasn’t at all shocked. I work in multifamily property management. I had been with that company for 7 months. I was a leasing consultant. My previous job had been almost 2 years as an assistant manager at an all student property. The job with the students was far more demanding but much more of a pleasure to get up and go to every morning. The latter job, sucked totally. Even though I had far less responsibility, I missed the energy of those young people at the student community. I am looking for another job now, but not in my previous industry, it sucks when you don’t make leasing goals and you are doing everything in your power but people just don’t need an apartment or their credit/criminal backgrounds are JACKED UP! Oh well though, wish me luck finding a job I love and the pays enough to live in the ATL metro area!
