See Build a Garden and finish 1/2 complete house projects posts.

Also managed to host a party Saturday and volunteer several house last weekend. Need to keep motivated through the holidays when work is crazy busy and I just feel like kicking back after 5pm on Friday.

I may not be up at the crack and out running, but I have been breaking a sweat doing yard work—and good thing because we have 1/2 acre to take care of!

This was the first weekend after creating a weekly chore list for hubby and I. As of Sunday night I have: a clean dog, mopped floors and less junk about than usual(thanks to DH) and fresh laundry, vacuumed carpets and a clean bathroom (my 1/2 of the deal) It feels good to START the workweek with a clean house and a plan of action.



Yes and No 2 years ago

I kick a lot more ass when I can get mine out of bed before 8 especially on Saturday. While I’m doing more on weekends (volunteering occasionally, attending church/looking for a church, household chores and community events) I’m not doing the stuff (getting out doors and out of town) I really love nearly as often as I want to. The last time I went hiking was in OCTOBER and running? Try SEPTEMBER. It’s been two weeks since I’ve been to the beach and I live a mile away there’s something wrong with this picture.

Need to:
Focus on getting up and OUTSIDE for a morning run
Get MOTIVATED to do the above
Wake hubby up early enough to go hiking and get
everything else done
Take the dog with me
REPEAT often

We just set up chore lists posted on the fridge natch and I think this will help alot.

50 HOUR WEEKS SUCK, weekends shouldn't have to 2 years ago

my life is going by so quickly…and not quickly at all sometimes. For instance where have the past 3 months gone? and why is it taking so long to be promoted? I know the answers to both of these things, and I want to make my life count.

I need to get up at a reasonable hour, have some sort of physical activity, make plans with friends at least one weekend day and have one night to chill/ clean whatever….oh yeah and write my dissertation.

Steve is into kicking back and running errands on Sat Sun and it feels like the weekend is just a waste. I know he need that, but I need a purpose on weekends
