list three things every day that made me happy

• Mr. K is making good progress putting in the grout in the kitchen floor. It’s the last big project we have to finish before we can list our house for sale.

• I felt good after running/walking yesterday morning.

• Spending some time reading.

• Very nice weather. Took the dog on a two-mile walk which we both enjoyed.

• My Daughter sent a video of one of the band’s performanced in Smsterdam. Fun

• Then a pleasant surprise, she called me agaim! She sounds tored but having fun on her quick tour of Europe.!

• Mother’s Day greetings from both of my kids. Especially good to talk to my Darling Daughter as she called me from Belgium on Skype!

• Surviving The Road Trip from Hell, Mr. K and I arrived safely back in Denver. We had gotten a flat tire in Wells Nevada so we successfully drove over 600 miles on the donut spare tire.

• We had lunch at an excellent place in Laramie, right by the old railroad tracks. Gotta love Urbanspoon for its restaurant recommendations.

• I had a really nice birthday. My Boy called me, and my daughter even sent me an e-mail from Germany.

• Mr. K got me some fun yard art to celebrate. He got me a cute “Welcome” bear which I had wanted for a while.

*Yummy Chinese food for dinner!

• Mr. K and I went to the Cabela’s store here. Hadn’t been in this one before. THere was some amazing animal displays inside! Awesome store!

• Good visit with my Mom.

• Really enjoyed watching Survivor. Couldn’t believe the blindside. can’t wait for the finale on Sunday.

• I took my Mom with me to my knitting group, and I think she really enjoyed meeting some new people.

• Went shopping for new sandals and at least found the brand that I want. Unfortunately, the colors at REI were awful, now I’m going to have to probably order them online.

• Baked some banana bread. Yum!

• My Mom’s house in Colorado sold successfully. There was a last-minute glitch at the end, because the buyer had opened a new credit card just last week, which her lender didn’t like, but in the end it all worked out. THe closing was a few hours late, but all’s well that ends well.

• We all arrived in one piece in Reno. Yay! The weather here is gorgeous.

• Getting back to my own computer!

• Mr. K and I had finished cleaning out my mom’s basement on Monday, and we managed to get all the trash hauled off. It was really an epic quantity of trash so happy that we got rid of it rather than move all that junk. (Mostly cardboard boxes and “packing material”).

• My Boy is getting excited for his big trip to Europe. Yesterday he texted me that he was accepted to a Work-Away assignment in Scotland, although I haven’t talked to him yet to find out where in Scotland and what he will be doing.

• Being home to cook dinner for a change.

• Mr. K and I made huge progress in cleaning out my Mom’s basement. The movers are coming in one week, so we don’t have much time left!

• In the boxes of memorabilia we got from my Mom, we found two diaries which my Daddy wrote during Word War II. Very excited to read these! He was stationed on a ship in the Pacific for the entirety of WWII, so he saw lots of interesting things.

• I’m grateful that Mr. K is such a sport in dealing with my Mother. She can be so stubborn at times!!!

• New music on my iPod.

• Mr. K and I played some disc golf. It was a warm and sunny day.

• Visiting with my Mom. She is getting excited about her move, I think, although she doesn’t want to admit it!
