We are making huge progress cleaning up the garage. Yesterday I disposed of an entire box of work- related items from the place I worked in the 1980s. It was sort of depressing, though, as I consider that job to have been the most fulfilling one I’ve ever had. Now, that company is out of business, and the world of engineering has changed a whole bunch ( and not for the better, in my opinion.) It was good to let go of these items from the past, although it made me sad to realize how much things have changed.

Spent a good while cleaning up the kitchen, including mopping the floor which was really needed. Dealt with all the mail and bills which arrived while we were gone.
Feels good to make some progress here!
I cleaned two bathrooms and also washed the garage door in preparation for painting it. Everything looks much nicer!
I cleaned out the refrigerator. Definitely just about my least favorite cleaning task. My DH has become really committed to taking his lunch to work, so hopefully this will combat new growths of unidentified leftovers.
It’s great to have some room in there and know what all is in there!
Today I did some serious cleaning out of the clothes in my closet. Since I have been reasonably successful at my goal of losing 25 pounds, quite a few of my clothes are actually too big (YES!!!). Time for them to go….
Bad news, a lot of the clothes that are the correct “size” now are so pitifully out of style that they need to go too…
Good news, though, I found a few “almost new” pairs of pants that fit me pretty well right now and will do just fine to tide me over on the continuing weigh-loss journey.
So two cheers, one for de-cluttering and the other for getting some almost “new” clothes for free!
I am going to work on this with more seriousness!
Today I cleaned all three bathrooms, they look a whole lot better. Took me a lot longer than 10 minutes, as The Boy’s bathroom was a mess!
More like 30 minutes cleaning the kitchen. I emptied the dishwasher, washed the pots and pans that needed it, cleaned the floor, tidied the junk on the counters, and took out the debris to the composter.
Also, we moved more furniture back into the room where we finished our new floor.
Today was very productive, I finished touching up the paint in the family room, remoed the masking tape, vacummed the bedrooms, did laundry, loaded and unlaoded the dishwasher, and filed papers. no wonder I am kind of tired now!
and hope to get it completely cleared off this weekend. It’s going to take a bit more effort than 10 minutes per day, though!
I had an extra day off work and took the opportunity to do some de-cluttering in our bedroom. I got a good start, with lots more that needs to be done!
