Well I have lost 12 pounds from my highest weight, which was in this spring of 2008.
So I have 28 pounds to go to reach this goal. Now that I’ve joined WW and made some eating changes, I think this goal is possible. Just going to take a while. Probably at least six more months. Sigh

and discovered that I have lost 2 more pounds since the last time I weighed!
Yay!
Now my weight is at goal +35. That’s still a ways to go, but I am please that I have dropped 10 pounds since the beginning of April without making too many changes. I am hoping to start some more serious exercise and take up the Couch to 5K jogging plan again, so I hope that will help me with this goal as well!

Yesterday in the mail I got a flyer from my local grocery store talking about a new over the counter weight loss drug called Orlistat. According to the advertising blurb, this product claims to help you lose “50% more weight than by dieting alone”. Well, of course this sounds tempting!!
Has anyone tried this product? Just wondering if it might be helpful!

I have been a bit self-conscious about the weight I have slowly gained as I have gotten older. I think it’s time to finally deal with it, and try to lose the weight once and for all.
I had been rationalizing that the weight gain was mostly due to having kids, etc, but last week my mom gave my an old picture where I was pretty darn skinny. Oops – there was my daughter in the picture, looking to be about 3 years old!!! So much for that excuse.
Well, it’s time to stop making excuses and just do it. I think it’s going to take quite a few months to achieve this goal, but I hope to kick start it with the 43T Weight Loss Spring. I’ve lost already between 2 and 3 pounds with that. My new goal is to be 40 pounds less than I am today, which I think will put me into the high end of the acceptable BMI for my height.
