How exactly will I know when I have gotten my country back?
Habeus Corpus will be respected.
Privacy of mine and my fellow citizens is respected.
Okay those are the first two that come to mind. There are more that I cannot articulate at the moment. I know there are only 12 people who share this goal, and even fewer who might actually be reading this, but if you have any more specifics on ways you and I will know when we have gotten our country back, please let me know.

My civic duty

It has been suggested that the goal “get my country back” is really “get my country back from the jerks”. Well, for me it is not. But don’t misunderstand me, I thoroughly believe that the current Bush administration is a bunch of… ok I will use the euphemism “jerks.” But for me, moving forward is only possible when I focus on the positive and not the negative.
How exactly, does one “get one’s country back”? Getting involved at the local level is where you really make the most difference. So here I go. At our caucus a while back, I was selected as an alternate delegate to go to the next convention. I am not one to force my point of view down another’s throat, but still am proud to be representing someone I feel would make an outstanding president.
The caucus was pretty amazing. Quite an emotional and passionate yet respectful throughout. The fact that there are two superb candidates in my party is very inspiring.
