get MY voice back

I’ve decided to focus on oratorio repertoire, since I believe that’s the only rep I’ll be singing consistently after college. I feel a little better having a plan.

Last January (2007), a virus attacked my right vocal cord and pretty much paralyzed it. For about six months, the only sound that would come out when I sang was a rattle.
Slowly, it started to come back, but it has not improved at all in well over six months now. Doctors tell me it isn’t likely to get much better after such a long pause in progress, but I refuse to believe that. I’m an opera major in college. I run a successful voice studio. I can’t have a crappy voice for the rest of my life. So, I need to get it back, and I’m on a mission to do so.
