two more weeks

only two more lessons and I am done with my course. I have started reading a novel in Afrikaans and I am surprised at how much I understand. I will try and keep practicing after the end of my course.

Advanced II

The next advanced course will start at the end of October… Still pursuing this goal. However, I believe that this will be the last round of classes as there are no text books left after the new one… Meaning I will have to start reading newspapers and such on my own to keep going. But that’s something I will have to think about in spring 2013 at the earliest.

Break

I haven’t been to class in a few weeks. Missed two weeks because of work, then the school was closed for Easter and today for another public holiday, followed by spring break…. Next class is scheduled for May 7. I don’t think I will be studying on my own during this time. Maybe a tiny brush-up before the 7th, but not more.

I was tempted to shift this into the “I’ve done this” section as I have successfully completed my beginners course. But given that I’ve signed up for the advanced class that’ll run until October, I will keep it in as a goal for now.
